Meet Bob and Julie
Hi! We’re Bob and Julie Bolton, the owners and ranchers at Groff’s Content Farm in Frederick County.
We believe that grass-fed and pasture-raised meats are best for the environment and for eating!
That’s not new thinking for us - we’ve been ranching for four decades and actually have degrees in rangeland, natural resource, and wildlife management!
For the last 15 years, we’ve only been selling our healthy and delicious meats directly to our loyal customers at Farmer’s Markets throughout DC and Baltimore.
But now, we’re delivering the amazing beef, pork, chicken, and lamb your neighbors have been lining up for right to your doorstep via our online store!
From Our Family Farm to Your Family Table
Grass-fed and pasture-raised meats like ours are not the cheapest choice…but, our free-roaming, rotational grazing strategies, combined with the sprouted seed fodder we grow right on the farm (think tasty wheatgrass!) - produces proteins and energy that science says -
- Provide higher levels of healthy omega-3 fats
- Have higher beta-carotene, iron, Vitamins D & E, and selenium levels
- More conjugated linoleic acid (CLA - beef)
...than conventional, confinement-raised, grain-fed meats.
And we know from spending every day out with our herds and flocks - that our animals have it pretty darn good here at Groff’s Content Farm.
